Nieu-Bethesda with it's famous Owl House is a mere 50 km from town.
Graaff-Reinet is 1 1/2 hours drive from the Greater Addo Elephant Park and an hours drive from the Mountain Zebra National Park near Cradock
Tennis, bowls, clay pigeon shooting, horse-riding, mountain trails, squash, microlighting & paragliding all catered for in the area.
There is an excellent 9-hole golf course close to town and visitors are welcome.
